You know I’ve been saying for a while now that music, especially hip-hop, should once again be used to help fight injustice. Some people try to make it seem like hip-hop has no place in serious conversations, but I believe hip-hop artists are just as intelligent and aware as many politicians. All you have to do is pay attention.
K-Rino is a perfect example of that. The knowledge and depth that man brings prove that hip-hop can educate just as much as it entertains.
Hip-hop and politics go hand in hand — you can’t run from it.

Who asked in the AMA about the new Netflix documentary The Crash being anti-weed? It certainly exposed dangers associated with adolescent drug use, but that’s a pretty reductive understanding of the issue, which was primarily about absentee parents and lack of accountability for teenage misbehavior.
