The lack of conflicting views amongst hosts as of late has really put on display why BP’s traditional format of a left and right voice is core to the show’s success. Since last Friday, the coverage of the shooting by Krystal and Ryan has been absolutely egregious, constantly interjecting their ungrounded personal views (“she was shot because she looked like a liberal lesbian”) into what should have been cautious and objective coverage of an evolving situation. By definition indigenous people are not immigrants and not subject to ICE authority but this crackdown is no longer about immigration, if it ever was. ICE is engaged in ethic cleansing, using the implicit approval of immigration hawks as cover.
