Please have this man on the show. I feel like an interview / conversation with Sagar and Steve Burke would be awesome. He's relatively new to hard journalism, but he's getting there and his longer investigations and detailed reports are better than what most of the larger financial news outlets can manage these days.

With "anonymous" benefactors stepping in to pay the military, we may see the military getting used to..."knowing where their bread is buttered", as Tim Dillon would say, and once this becomes normalized and benefactors become known, we essentially will have a private army of mercenaries. This is a very dangerous precedent. This is absolutely only made possible by income inequality and the funneling of wealth from the middle and lower classes to the oligarch class.
I would very much like to see this discussed. Of all the slippery slopes, this one is as slick as shit in a silk stocking.
Edit: Additionally, this removes one of the few roadblocks that the congressional minorities have to use as a check on majority power

Are you guys aware of what’s happening in Chicago right now? For some reason nobody is talking about it. ICE has been way more aggressive and militaristic than anywhere else. A friend of mine (white male, US citizen) had his building breached and was teargassed because they had the wrong address. ICE is illegally targeting schools, grabbing kids and parents during dismissal and terrorizing the entire city. On Friday, they released teargas in Lake View, an affluent neighborhood on the Northside, after residents asked questions about a person being detained in front of them.
On a personal note, I am a CPS high school teacher. One of my students, Ofelia Torres, has a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Her father was recently taken by ICE while he was looking for work in a Home Depot parking lot to help pay for his daughter’s cancer treatment. If you could share her story and that of the countless people of Chicago suffering at the hands of ICE’s brutality, it would mean the ...
Go through the recent episodes of Breaking Points and you'll fine that Saagar can’t stop bringing up trans people, even when the topic has nothing to do with them. It’s become this weird fixation that adds nothing to the actual political discussion. There haven’t been any major trans-related policy stories in months, and no Democrats are out here making radical or “scary” statements like he thinks.
When they discussed Graham Platner and the tattoo controversy he spent time pivoting to “trans ideology” and "he supports trans" rather than staying focused on the actual point of Krystal's view of the story (also his feelings are hurt when you call out their authoritarianism and Nazism). It’s starting to feel less like commentary and more like an obsession.
Saagar obsessing over trans people and Emily (randomly) bringing up Hunter Biden instantly turns me off to their viewpoint.
It's fucking weird
