My name is Cameron LeVack from Colorado Springs, Colorado and I'm considering running for US Congress. I'm inspired by AOC having run while being a waitress and by Graham Planter who is running to unseat Susan Collins. I myself am just a dog walker and house sitter with no college education.
I would essentially be running on a Breaking Points, bipartisan and anti-establishment platform with some of my beliefs mixed in. For instance, I am a liberal gun owner and believe strongly in the second amendment and want us to secure our borders. I'm a supporter of Palestine and believe the US should lead an immediate effort to create a Palestinian state.
Regarding Congress I want to do away with the giant omnibus bill system, get money out of politics and enact a ban on political insider trading. I believe those systems are part of how our government has become so corrupt, disconnected and self serving. Every proposed amendment should be considered and voted on individually, both so we can get government working again and so every congressperson's voting record can be used in support of or against them.
Possibly most importantly, I want to reform Congress so legislators can vote remotely normally. In part to destroy the stranglehold on power that DC has and also to make it easier and more accessible for normal people to decide to run for office and still hang on to their existing careers and keep a work life and family balance. I think people being professional politicians is part of what's wrong with our system.
I am posting here as a start. I've looked into it and see that I have a lot of work to do. I am hoping those here and in the BP team might be able to help me give it my best shot. I want to go in intending to do it my way. I will not capitulate to the establishment parties on either side so I feel I'll end up having to run as an independent. But I would rather do that and lose and know that I tried than to win by compromising and probably starting down a path that makes me the same type of politician as most the ones we have currently.
I appreciate any feedback and please feel free to ask any questions about my other policy positions!
Thank you for your attention in this matter,
Cameron B LeVack, Dog Walker 😁

This is to Saager and Ryan. I don’t think what Platner said was elitist because the woman was stating something that was not actually true. Undocumented immigrants do not get free healthcare. That’s what the lady was lamenting about.
I personally loved how he actually validated her anger, even though it’s not factual. He was validating her anger about immigrants taking resources which is fair.
We do in fact have the resources. It’s just that the people in charge, which are in fact the rich, are not allowing us to have these resources.
Three things that should not have a profit:
Prison
Education
And healthcare
Healthcare is more expensive, double in fact, because of insurance. Insurance is largely a scam. People in countries with socialized medicine spend half as much with better medical outcomes.
It’s not elitist to say people can be propagandized because we very much can and are no matter what side of the political spectrum one is on.
This is of course my opinion on the matter.
People are getting detained left and right in Chicago without cause and they don't get a chance to contact their attorneys and family members. This is a very scary scenario for immigrants that don't have an extended family in the states. It's like Japanese internment camps and the Nazi Gestapo!
We aren't talking only about illegals, although it wouldn't make any difference to me. All humans deserve dignity. Anyway, this is happening to citizens and green card holders too. We lost our first amendment protections after Kirk's murder, now we lost the fourth amendment protections too? WTF.
BREAKING POINTS SHOULD COVER THIS EVRYDAY UNTIL THIS MONSTROSITY STOPS!
OK... Saagar, my wife & I still love you (Krystal & BP Crew too) even though you get all "finger waggy" 🤣 at us (we're "young Boomers).
That being said, today, when you mentioned when you were born, we looked at each other and said, "Holy shit, that's when we first started dating", and we've been married for 26 years.
And that makes us appreciate "Breaking Points" even more. We personally get to learn about current events through a generational spectrum (Saagar》Krystal》Us) of perspectives.
Thank you for bringing a certain level of humanity to times that really seem inhumane 👍🤗🤗👍
