4/4/25: China Calls Trump's Bluff, Stocks Plummet, Lawyer Responds To JD Vance

Sorry to constantly point out some of the errors in Sagaar's coverage (I really do like him on a lot of topics), but his immigration discussion missed a few key points.

1) He stated there might be 50 million undocumented people in the US. The only place I can find that number is from the Center for Immigration Studies. This is a hard right complete immigration restriction think tank. They stated recently, they estimate there are 50 million+ total immigrants in the US. That includes legal and illegal. Sagaar appears to conflate this number as many have. Most estimates fall between 10 million - 15 million undocumented people in the US.

2) PEOPLE HAVE TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK ENGLISH TO GET THEIR CITIZENSHIP. They don't have to be perfectly fluent, but competence in English is a requirment. While there are exceptions for age and medical, Sagaar is complaining about something that is already a requirement for citizenship.

3) What he has likely done is confuse requirements to stay in the US and ...

Both AMA links I got say this video was deleted.

Listening to today’s show and it sounds like Saagar doesn’t know in order to become a citizen you have to speak basic English. My parents came to this country, unfavorably in saagar opinion, and barely spoke English. Today their sons are a product designer at a faang company and an architect that built a US embassy. We, and so many other immigrant families, are not on welfare. In fact my father that again barely spoke English had a successful business, paid taxes, and put us in private schools.
