Longtime listener and developer in the crypto industry.
I mostly agree with the general characterizations of my industry that the show portrays, but Breaking Points fails to cover any of the positive players.
For example, Ethereum has had ZERO downtime for nearly 9 years - it's a financial network processing billions of dollars in value. Simulacra of every financial primitive (lending, borrowing, trading) have been implemented on Ethereum. And it's globally distributed; no single country can take down the network, not even the US, without incurring massive costs.
To this point, populist crypto is what attracted me to the vision. Especially as the US dollar is slow-moving-train-crashing, SOME crypto could be the credibly neutral global reserve currency.
Only caveat to this point, as Krystal would point out, is the wealth concentration of ETH and BTC holders - it's really extreme because of how much these assets have appreciated, which makes the distribution of them extremely concentrated.
Hope we can implement wealth cap laws.
