JD wrote an elegy for a people he does not know, and it isn't funny. Who would've ever thought the deep state were the national park rangers?

I want to talk to you about something important. It’s about our Constitution, our freedoms, and how they are slowly being taken from all of us, even if you don’t see it yet.

You may have heard about a man named Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Some people want to deport him without giving him a fair trial. But here’s the truth: the Constitution protects everyone in the United States, not just citizens, not just people born here, not just people you agree with, but all people. This isn't a statement of values or empathy, this is the fundamental fabric that defines America and separates it from every other nation, or it did until maga came along & bastardized our patriotism.

The 5th Amendment says no person can be punished or have things taken away without due process of law. That means everyone deserves a fair trial.
The 8th Amendment says the government can’t use cruel or unusual punishments.

If the government can take away Kilmar’s rights today, they can take away yours tomorrow. That’s how it works. Once the government breaks the rules for one person, they learn they can do it again. Even to people who are white. Even to people born here. Even to you. You cannot prove your citizenship without due process.

You might think this isn’t your problem because you’re not an immigrant. But it is. Because you live here. And this is your country, too. You cannot prove your citizenship without due process.

Now let’s talk about fear.

You’ve been told immigrants are trying to "replace" you. That’s not true. That idea, called the "Great Replacement",comes from Nazi ideology. The Nazis used it to scare people, just like the right does today. Hitler used the "Madagascar Plan" to talk about mass deportations. He said certain people didn’t belong, just because of who they were.
We know what that led to. You cannot prove your citizenship without due process.

Donald Trump says he stands for freedom. But he wants to take away people’s rights without trials, without mercy, and with cruelty. That is not freedom. That is not America.

He betrayed you.

He used your fears to gain power, just like a demagogue, a leader who lies to stay in control. He didn’t make your life better. He just gave you someone to blame.

He made you think some people aren’t really human.

But the truth is, we all are.

When we stop seeing each other as human beings, our country breaks. When we let fear control us, we lose what makes America great: our Constitution, our liberty, and our dignity.

Don’t let them take your rights. Stand up, for your freedoms, for the Constitution, and for basic human decency.

If Kilmar loses his rights, you will too. You cannot prove your citizenship without due process.

Now go fucking protest this weekend.
